Save an Instagram video on Android
- 1In the Instagram app, open the Reel, video or photo post.
- 2Tap the three dots or the share icon and choose “Copy link”.
- 3Open this page in Chrome or Samsung Internet, paste the link above and tap Download.
- 4Pick a quality in the preview and tap “Download Video” or “Download Photo”.
- 5Open the file from the download notification, or find it in your gallery.
Where the file goes on Android
Android browsers save downloads to the Download folder on your phone. Chrome shows a notification when the download is finished, and tapping it opens the file.
Most gallery apps show files from the Download folder automatically. If a video doesn't appear, open your Files app (Files by Google or My Files) and look in Downloads.
